What to do in case in which an application does not provide the desired performance? If you have ever had problems with optimizing the performance of Java applications, surely you had to invest a solid amount of time to find out the real cause for the problems, which included the involvement of administrators and developers. Is there a way to shorten the time required to find a solution, what free tools are available for this purpose and to check that you have finally solved the problem? In this presentation, we will try to provide answers to these questions with concrete real life examples.

Danijel Mitar, author
My name is Danijel Mitar and I graduated at TVZ in 2015. During my study I fell in love with Java programming, related technologies and Linux which resulted with choosing my final thesis "Java web application for management of the hotel". I am currently working as a Java programmer in KING ICT, the leading system integrator in the region.
Aleksander Radovan, coauthor
My name is Aleksander Radovan, I graduated in 2004 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb where I am currently finishing the PhD program. I'm in the Java more than 12 years, I've passed OCP certificate and I'm preparing for the OCM certificate. I'm currently working as Java team lead at the KING ICT d.o.o., as a senior lecturer of programming courses at several universities in and around Zagreb and I'm president of Board of Education in Croatian Java User Group.
